Rare radiative decays of charm baryons
Nico Adolph, Gudrun Hiller

TL;DR
This paper analyzes rare radiative decays of charm baryons within the Standard Model and beyond, proposing decay chains for polarization studies and exploring potential CP-violation signals from new physics.
Contribution
It introduces new decay chain analyses for polarization studies and discusses potential CP asymmetries from new physics in charm baryon radiative decays.
Findings
Decay chains enable polarization measurements.
Standard Model contributions can be isolated.
CP asymmetries could reach a few percent.
Abstract
We study weak radiative decays of the charmed anti-triplett (, , ) and sextet (, , , , , ) baryons in the standard model (SM) and beyond. We work out and -symmetry relations. We propose to study self-analyzing decay chains such as and , which enable new physics sensitive polarization studies. SM contributions can be controlled by corresponding analysis of the Cabibbo-favored decays and . Further tests of the SM are available with initially polarized baryons including together with decays, or…
