Recovery of black hole mass from a single quasinormal mode
Gunther Uhlmann, Yiran Wang

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates how to determine a black hole's mass from a single quasinormal mode, providing a mathematical proof of uniqueness and stability in the process.
Contribution
It introduces a new method for extracting black hole mass from one quasinormal mode with proven local uniqueness and stability guarantees.
Findings
Unique determination of black hole mass from a single mode
Hölder stability estimate established
Mathematical proof of the method's reliability
Abstract
We study the determination of the mass of a de Sitter-Schwarzschild black hole from one quasinormal mode. We prove a local uniqueness result with a H\"older type stability estimate.
