Message recovery attack to NTRU using a lattice independent from the public key
Marios Adamoudis, K. A. Draziotis

TL;DR
This paper introduces a novel lattice-based attack on the NTRU-HPS cryptosystem that employs a different lattice from the public key, demonstrating its effectiveness through multiple examples.
Contribution
The paper presents a new lattice attack on NTRU using an alternative lattice structure, expanding the cryptanalysis techniques available for NTRU vulnerabilities.
Findings
The attack successfully breaks NTRU in tested examples.
The new lattice approach differs from traditional CVP attacks.
Illustrations confirm the attack's practical viability.
Abstract
In the present paper we introduce a new attack on NTRU-HPS cryptosystem using lattice theory and Babai's Nearest Plane Algorithm. This attack has many similarities with the classic CVP attack on NTRU, but in our case we use a different lattice, instead of the classic lattice which is constructed with the public key. Finally, the attack is illustrated by many examples.
