SMEFT at the LHC and Beyond: A Snowmass White Paper
William Shepherd

TL;DR
This white paper discusses the future potential of SMEFT in high-energy collider experiments, emphasizing its role in interpreting new models while addressing challenges to ensure accurate results.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive future vision for SMEFT application at colliders and analyzes potential pitfalls with strategies to maintain result accuracy.
Findings
Identifies key opportunities for SMEFT at future colliders.
Highlights potential pitfalls affecting SMEFT utility.
Proposes approaches to improve the accuracy of SMEFT interpretations.
Abstract
I detail an optimistic future vision for the use of SMEFT at high-energy colliders, and describe the use of the studies which could result for interpretation of future models. I also explore some of the potential pitfalls which could significantly degrade the utility of those results and discuss approaches to avoid them and ensure that results are actually accurate when applied to new models.
