George K. Leontaris, Pramod Shukla

TL;DR
This paper proposes a perturbative scheme for stabilizing all Kähler moduli in type IIB string theory's Large Volume Scenario, achieving exponentially large volumes and exploring de Sitter vacua possibilities.
Contribution
It introduces a novel perturbative moduli stabilization method that fixes all Kähler moduli at large volume using various string corrections, including higher derivative terms.
Findings
All Kähler moduli can be stabilized perturbatively.
The overall volume can be exponentially large in the weak coupling regime.
Potential for realizing de Sitter vacua through uplifting terms.
Abstract
In this work we investigate the moduli stabilisation problem and the requirements for de Sitter vacua within the framework of type IIB string theory. Using perturbative effects arising from the various sources such as corrections, logarithmic as well as KK and winding-type string-loop corrections along with the higher derivative -contributions, we present a moduli stabilisation scheme in which the overall volume is realised at exponentially large values such that in the weak coupling regime, where is a parameter given as . We also present a concrete global construction using a -fibred CY threefold with which shares many of its properties with those of the standard toroidal case, and subsequently generates the appropriate corrections needed to fix all…
