TL;DR
This paper analyzes deep inelastic scattering data within the MSbar and DIS schemes, focusing on the impact of scheme choice on the strong coupling constant and twist-four corrections, using a combined high-statistics dataset.
Contribution
It provides a comparative analysis of the MSbar and DIS schemes in DIS data, highlighting the scheme's effect on twist-four corrections and the strong coupling constant.
Findings
DIS scheme significantly alters twist-four correction values.
Strong coupling constant remains largely unchanged between schemes.
Combined analysis of high-statistics data enhances understanding of scheme effects.
Abstract
Deep inelastic scattering data on structure function from various fixed-target experiments were analyzed in a nonsinglet approximation in the MSbar and DIS scheme. The study of high statistics deep inelastic scattering data provided by BCDMS, SLAC and NMC collaborations, was carried out using a combined analysis. The application of the DIS scheme leads to the resummation of contributions that are important for large x values. It is found that using the DIS scheme does not significantly change the strong coupling constant itself but does strongly change the values of the twist-four corrections.
