Hua-Xing Chen, Niu Su, Shi-Lin Zhu

TL;DR
This paper investigates the decay properties of the hybrid meson candidate $ ext{eta}_1(1855)$, highlighting how the QCD axial anomaly enhances its $ ext{eta} ext{eta}^ extprime$ decay mode, supporting its hybrid meson interpretation.
Contribution
It provides a theoretical analysis of the decay channels of the $ ext{eta}_1(1855)$, emphasizing the role of the QCD axial anomaly in its $ ext{eta} ext{eta}^ extprime$ decay.
Findings
QCD axial anomaly enhances $ ext{eta} ext{eta}^ extprime$ decay width.
$ ext{eta}_1(1855)$ likely a $ar s s g$ hybrid meson.
$ ext{eta} ext{eta}^ extprime$ decay mode is a characteristic signal.
Abstract
We study the hybrid mesons with the exotic quantum number and investigate their decays into the , , , , , , and channels. We find that the QCD axial anomaly enhances the decay width of the channel although this mode is strongly suppressed by the small -wave phase space. Our results support the interpretation of the recently observed by BESIII as the hybrid meson of . The QCD axial anomaly ensures the decay mode to be a characteristic signal of the hybrid nature of the .
