Five-branes wrapped on topological disks from 7D N=2 gauged supergravity
Parinya Karndumri, Patharadanai Nuchino

TL;DR
This paper finds new supersymmetric $AdS_5$ solutions in 7D $N=2$ gauged supergravity with topological disk boundaries, which serve as potential duals to 4D $N=1$ SCFTs and can be embedded in string/M-theory.
Contribution
It introduces novel $AdS_5\times \Sigma$ solutions with topological disks in 7D $N=2$ gauged supergravity, expanding the landscape of supergravity duals to 4D SCFTs.
Findings
Multiple $AdS_5\times \Sigma$ solutions with specific residual symmetries.
Solutions preserve half of the original supersymmetry.
Some solutions embed into string or M-theory as wrapped five-branes.
Abstract
We study supersymmetric solutions, for being a topological disk with non-trivial holonomy at the boundary or "half-spindle", in seven-dimensional gauged supergravity coupled to three vector multiplets. We consider compact and non-compact gauge groups, , for , and find a number of solutions with and residual symmetry from and gauge groups. We also find an symmetric solution which can be regarded as a solution of pure gauged supergravity with gauge group and all the fields from vector multiplets vanishing. The solutions preserve of the original supersymmetry and could be interpreted as supergravity duals of superconformal field theories in four dimensions. In…
