James T. Liu, Robert J. Saskowski

TL;DR
This paper identifies a unique four-derivative superinvariant in five-dimensional gauged supergravity, determines its coefficients, and confirms these results using the BMPV solution, advancing understanding of higher-derivative corrections in supergravity theories.
Contribution
It finds a single four-derivative superinvariant in 5D gauged supergravity and determines its coefficients, providing a clear characterization of higher-derivative corrections.
Findings
Existence of a unique four-derivative superinvariant.
Explicit coefficients for the four-derivative corrections.
Confirmation of coefficients using the BMPV solution.
Abstract
We study four-derivative corrections to pure , gauged supergravity. In particular, we find that, up to field redefinitions, there is a single four-derivative superinvariant that one can add to the action, up to factors of the two-derivative action. Consequently, this selects out a unique set of coefficients for the four-derivative corrections. We confirm these coefficients (in the ungauged limit) on the BMPV solution.
