TL;DR
This paper investigates how the dilaton field influences higher derivative supergravity in Double Field Theory, focusing on fixing non-covariant field redefinitions to maintain duality symmetries.
Contribution
It introduces a method to determine Lorentz non covariant field redefinitions involving the metric and dilaton within Double Field Theory.
Findings
Fixed the Lorentz non covariant redefinitions for metric and dilaton
Clarified the role of the dilaton in duality covariant formulations
Enhanced understanding of higher derivative supergravity in DFT
Abstract
We explore the role of the dilaton field on higher derivative supergravity within the framework of Double Field Theory and use it to fix the Lorentz non covariant field redefinitions connecting the metric and dilaton fields with the duality multiplets.
