Small oscillations of a heavy symmetric top
V. Tanriverdi

TL;DR
This paper presents a new method for analyzing small oscillations of a heavy symmetric top, providing explicit formulas for amplitudes, which can enhance teaching and understanding of the dynamics involved.
Contribution
It introduces an alternative approach to studying small oscillations of a symmetric top, with explicit amplitude formulas not previously provided.
Findings
Explicit formulas for oscillation amplitudes are derived.
The method offers a new perspective useful for educational purposes.
The approach differs from traditional methods, potentially simplifying analysis.
Abstract
This study is on small oscillations of a heavy symmetric top. A different method than previous works is applied, and differently from previous works, the explicit formulas for the amplitudes for oscillations are given. This method can be helpful in teaching.
