Structure of Magnetic Inhomogeneities in Films with Topological Features
Eugene Magadeev, Robert Vakhitov (Bashkir State University)

TL;DR
This study investigates the formation and stability of vortex-like topological inhomogeneities in magnetic films with uniaxial anisotropy and structural defects, highlighting their potential for information encoding.
Contribution
It reveals how artificial defects induce stable topological vortex structures in magnetic films, advancing understanding of magnetic inhomogeneities for data storage applications.
Findings
Vortex-like inhomogeneities form on structural defects in magnetic films.
Their stability depends on current, defect number, and configuration.
Stable configurations are suitable for information encoding.
Abstract
This paper considers magnetic films with uniaxial anisotropy of the type "easy plane". It was found that in the presence of structural defects in such films, which are artificially created holes or non-magnetic inclusions, vortex-like inhomogeneities with a topological charge can form on them. Their stability is considered and it is shown in what cases (depending on the value and directions of currents, number of holes, etc.) they form stable configurations, suitable for information encoding. -- V rabote rassmatrivajutsja magnitnye plenki s odnoosnoj anizotropiej tipa "legkaja ploskost".
