Tom\'as Ort\'in, Alejandro Ruip\'erez, Matteo Zatti

TL;DR
This paper calculates first-order string theory corrections to multi-center black hole solutions in four and five dimensions, showing that equilibrium persists and analyzing black hole fragmentation possibilities.
Contribution
It introduces the first-order $oldsymbol{ ext{alpha'}}$ corrections to heterotic multi-center black-hole solutions, maintaining equilibrium conditions and exploring fragmentation.
Findings
Equilibrium of multi-center solutions persists after $oldsymbol{ ext{alpha'}}$ corrections.
Solutions remain free of unphysical singularities with corrections.
Analyzes the potential for black-hole fragmentation.
Abstract
We compute the first-order corrections to well-known families of heterotic multi-center black-hole solutions in five and four dimensions. The solutions can be either supersymmetric or non-supersymmetric, depending on the relative sign between two of the black-hole charges. For both cases, we find that the equilibrium of forces persists after including the corrections, as the existence of multi-center solutions free of unphysical singularities shows. We analyze the possibility of black-hole fragmentation.
