TL;DR
This paper measures $CP$ violation observables in $B^\pm o Dh^\pm$ decays using LHCb data, providing new constraints on the CKM angle $\gamma$ through analysis of various $D$ decay modes and observing significant $CP$ asymmetries.
Contribution
It presents the first measurement of eleven $CP$ violation observables in $B^\pm o Dh^\pm$ decays with $D$ decays to three-body final states, improving constraints on the CKM angle $\gamma$.
Findings
Observation of the mode $B^\pm o [\pi^\pm K^\mp\pi^0]_D K^\pm$ with >7 sigma significance.
Measurement of the ratio $R_{{ m ADS}(K)} = (1.27\pm0.16\pm0.02) imes 10^{-2}$.
Evidence for large $CP$ asymmetry $A_{{ m ADS}(K)} = -0.38\pm0.12\pm0.02$.
Abstract
A data sample collected with the LHCb detector corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb is used to measure eleven violation observables in decays, where is either a kaon or a pion. The neutral meson decay is reconstructed in the three-body final states: }; ; and the suppressed combination. The mode where a large asymmetry is expected, , is observed with a significance greater than seven standard deviations. The ratio of the partial width of this mode relative to that of the favoured mode, , is . Evidence for a large asymmetry is also seen: . Constraints on the CKM angle are calculated…
