Gabriela Bailas, Shoji Hashimoto

TL;DR
This paper computes the differential decay rate of the B_s meson in semi-leptonic decay channels using a lattice approach, comparing contributions from various excited states, despite using unphysical quark masses.
Contribution
It applies a recently proposed lattice method to calculate inclusive semi-leptonic decay rates of B mesons, including excited state contributions.
Findings
Differential decay rates for B_s meson are computed.
Ground and excited state contributions are compared.
Results are obtained with unphysical quark masses.
Abstract
Utilizing the approach recently proposed for the inclusive semi-leptonic decay rate on the lattice, we compute the differential decay rate of a meson for various kinematical channels. The results are compared with the contributions from the ground states (D and D^*) as well as from the orbitally excited states (D^**'s). The computation so far is carried out with an unphysically light bottom quark and strange spectator quark.
