David Coulette, Fr\'ed\'eric D\'eglise, Jean Fasel, Jens Hornbostel

TL;DR
This paper develops the algebraic formalism of formal ternary laws, compares them to Buchstaber's 2-valued formal group laws, and computes elementary examples using computer assistance.
Contribution
It introduces a formal algebraic framework for ternary laws and relates them to Buchstaber's 2-valued formal groups, including computational results.
Findings
Formal ternary laws are systematically developed.
Comparison with Buchstaber's 2-valued formal group laws is established.
Elementary formal ternary laws are computed after inverting 2.
Abstract
We develop the algebraic formalism of the formal ternary laws of C. Walter and we compare them to Buchstaber's 2-valued formal group laws. We also compute the "elementary" formal ternary laws (after inverting 2) using a computer program available online.
