Slawomir Klimek, Matt McBride, J. Wilson Peoples

TL;DR
This paper explores the noncommutative geometric properties of Bunce-Deddens algebras by defining smooth subalgebras and analyzing derivations, K-Theory, and K-Homology aspects.
Contribution
It introduces smooth subalgebras of Bunce-Deddens algebras and investigates their noncommutative geometric features, including derivations and K-theoretic properties.
Findings
Identification of smooth subalgebras within Bunce-Deddens algebras
Analysis of derivations on these subalgebras
Results on K-Theory and K-Homology of the algebras
Abstract
We define and study smooth subalgebras of Bunce-Deddens C*-algebras. We discuss various aspects of noncommutative geometry of Bunce-Deddens algebras including derivations on smooth subalgebras, as well as K-Theory and K-Homology.
