Production of the $B_c$ meson at the CEPC
Ze-Yang Zhang, Xu-Chang Zheng, Xing-Gang Wu

TL;DR
This study predicts the production rates of various $B_c$ mesons at the future CEPC collider using advanced QCD methods, highlighting the $Z$ mode as the most promising for detailed experimental analysis.
Contribution
It provides detailed calculations of $B_c$ meson production cross sections at CEPC using fragmentation and nonrelativistic QCD approaches, including next-to-leading order corrections.
Findings
Approximately 1.4×10^8 $B_c$ events at the $Z$ mode.
Significantly fewer $B_c$ events at $W$ and $H$ modes.
Differential cross sections are calculated for the $Z$ mode.
Abstract
In this paper, we make a detailed study on the production of the , , , and mesons via the three planned running modes (, , and ) at the future Circular Electron-Positron Collider (CEPC). The fragmentation-function and full nonrelativistic QCD approaches are adopted to calculate the production cross sections. Considering the excited states shall decay to the ground state (e.g. -state) with almost probability, our numerical results show that up to next-to-leading order QCD corrections, there are about events to be accumulated via the mode () of the CEPC, but only about and events to be accumulated via the () and () modes, respectively. Since the mode is the best mode…
