Hidden charm mesons in nuclear matter and nuclei
J.J. Cobos-Mart\'inez, K. Tsushima, G. Krein, A.W. Thomas

TL;DR
This paper investigates the potential for $ ext{eta}_c$ and $J/\psi$ mesons to form bound states within various nuclei, based on calculations of their energies and attractive potentials in nuclear matter.
Contribution
It provides new predictions for $ ext{eta}_c$ and $J/\psi$-nucleus bound states using in-medium loop calculations of their self energies.
Findings
Bound states are predicted for $ ext{eta}_c$ and $J/\psi$ in all considered nuclei.
Attractive potentials arise from in-medium enhanced $D D^*$ and $D ar{D}$ loops.
Results suggest these mesons can form observable bound states in nuclear matter.
Abstract
Recent results for the - and -nucleus bound state energies for various nuclei are presented. The attractive potentials for the and mesons in the nuclear medium originate, respectively, from the in-medium enhanced and loops in the and self energies. Our results suggest that the and mesons should form bound states with all the nuclei considered.
