TL;DR
This study uses multiple Andreev reflection spectroscopy to analyze the superconducting gaps in overdoped BaFe$_{1.86}$Ni$_{0.14}$As$_2$, revealing anisotropic and isotropic gaps and their temperature dependence.
Contribution
It provides direct measurements of multiple superconducting gaps and their anisotropy in overdoped BaFe$_{1.86}$Ni$_{0.14}$As$_2$ using MAR spectroscopy, a novel application for this material.
Findings
Identified anisotropic large gaps with specific ratios to $k_BT_c$
Detected an almost isotropic small gap with a specific ratio
Observed a bosonic mode-related structure vanishing at $T_c$
Abstract
Using multiple Andreev reflection (MAR) spectroscopy, we studied superconductor - normal metal - superconductor (SnS) semiballistic contacts with incoherent transport in overdoped pnictide superconductors BaFeNiAs with critical temperature K. We directly determined an anisotropic large gap with the characteristic ratios and , almost isotropic small gap with , and the temperature dependence of the resolved superconducting order parameters. Above the large gap position , a fine dI(V)/dV structure fully vanishing at and possibly caused by a resonant coupling with a bosonic mode was observed.
