TL;DR
This paper presents the design and implementation of the Illinois Express Quantum Network, demonstrating quantum teleportation and coexistence of quantum and classical data over fiber links in a metropolitan area.
Contribution
It introduces a novel quantum network topology and control architecture for metro-scale quantum communication.
Findings
Successful quantum teleportation over installed fiber
Coexistence of quantum and classical data on the same fiber
Preliminary results demonstrating network feasibility
Abstract
We describe an implementation of a quantum network over installed fiber in the Chicago area.We present network topology and control architecture of this network and illustrate preliminary results for quantum teleportation and coexistence of quantum and classical data on the same fiber link.
