C.Q. Geng, Chia-Wei Liu, Tien-Hsueh Tsai

TL;DR
This paper revisits semileptonic baryonic B decays using perturbative QCD, providing updated predictions for branching ratios and asymmetries that align well with recent experimental data.
Contribution
It offers a new calculation of B^- to baryon-antibaryon semileptonic decay rates using QCD counting rules and flavor symmetry, improving upon previous theoretical estimates.
Findings
Predicted branching ratio for B^- to p p̄ l^- ν̄_l is (5.21±0.34)×10^{-6}
Result agrees with recent Belle and LHCb measurements
Provides predictions for other decay channels for experimental testing
Abstract
We systematically revisit the baryonic four-body semileptonic decays of by the perturbative QCD counting rules with representing octet baryons and . We study the transition form factors of in the limit of with the three-body and data along with flavor symmetry. We calculate the decay branching ratios and angular asymmetries as well as the differential decay branching fractions of . In particular, we find that our new result of , which is about one order of magnitude lower than the previous theoretical prediction of…
