Production cross sections of tetraquark states in elementary hadronic collisions
G\'abor Balassa, Gy\"orgy Wolf

TL;DR
This paper calculates the production cross sections of the exotic tetraquark candidate X(3872) in various hadronic collisions using an extended statistical model that incorporates the diquark picture, showing good agreement with experimental data.
Contribution
It introduces an extension of a statistical model to include tetraquarks via the diquark picture, enabling the calculation of their production cross sections in high-energy collisions.
Findings
Calculated cross section ratios match experimental measurements.
Model successfully describes tetraquark production in different collision types.
Supports the diquark picture as a viable approach for tetraquark production modeling.
Abstract
Inclusive production cross sections of the possible exotic state X(3872) in proton-proton, pionp-roton and proton-antiproton collisions are calculated using a statistical based model, which is previously used to describe inclusive charmed and bottomed hadron production cross sections in the low energy region. With the extensions made here, the model is capable to include tetraquarks as well, using the diquark picture of tetraquarks. The evaluated cross section ratio of and at TeV agrees well with the measured value.
