Jose Beltr\'an Jim\'enez, Tomi S. Koivisto

TL;DR
This paper derives Noether currents in a general metric-affine gravity framework, clarifies the holographic aspects of gravitational entropy and energy-momentum, and confirms the canonical resolution of the energy-momentum problem within the Noether formalism.
Contribution
It introduces a comprehensive derivation of Noether currents in metric-affine gravity and verifies the canonical resolution of the energy-momentum problem.
Findings
Noether currents are derived in metric-affine gravity
Holographic nature of gravitational entropy and energy-momentum is clarified
Canonical resolution of the energy-momentum problem is verified
Abstract
The Noether currents are derived in a generic metric-affine theory of gravity, and the holographic nature of the gravitational entropy and energy-momentum is clarified. The main result is the verification of the canonical resolution to the energy-momentum problem in the Noether formalism.
