Counting pointlike instantons virtually without gluing
Gang Tian, Guangbo Xu

TL;DR
This paper introduces a novel method to define quantum corrections between models in mathematical physics without relying on traditional gluing techniques, simplifying the construction of virtual fundamental cycles.
Contribution
It applies a new approach to construct virtual fundamental cycles, avoiding the complex gluing process in the context of gauged linear sigma models.
Findings
Successfully defines quantum correction terms without gluing.
Provides a new framework for virtual fundamental cycle construction.
Bridges gauged linear sigma models and nonlinear sigma models.
Abstract
We use the first author's idea on "constructing virtual fundamental cycles without gluing ' to define the quantum correction term between the gauged linear sigma model and the nonlinear sigma model.
