Measurement of prompt $\rm{D_{s}^{+}}$-meson production and azimuthal anisotropy in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}} = 5.02$ TeV
ALICE Collaboration

TL;DR
This paper measures prompt D_s^+ meson production and azimuthal anisotropy in Pb-Pb collisions at 5.02 TeV, revealing enhanced D_s^+ production at low p_T and consistent flow with non-strange D mesons, informing charm-quark behavior in quark-gluon plasma.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed measurement of D_s^+ meson yield, anisotropy, and production ratios in Pb-Pb collisions at LHC energies, comparing results with theoretical models.
Findings
D_s^+ R_AA is similar to non-strange D mesons at high p_T.
Enhanced D_s^+ production relative to D^0 in Pb-Pb at low p_T.
D_s^+ v_2 is compatible with non-strange D mesons.
Abstract
The production yield and angular anisotropy of prompt mesons were measured as a function of transverse momentum () in Pb-Pb collisions at a centre-of-mass energy per nucleon pair TeV collected with the ALICE detector at the LHC. mesons and their charge conjugates were reconstructed at midrapidity () from their hadronic decay channel , with , in the intervals GeV/ and GeV/ for the 0-10% and 30-50% centrality intervals. For GeV/, the measured -meson nuclear modification factor is consistent with the one of non-strange D mesons within uncertainties, while at lower a hint for a -meson larger than that of non-strange D mesons is seen. The enhanced production of relative to…
