Huijing Li, Tao Luo, Xiaodong Shi, Xiaorong Zhou

TL;DR
This study assesses the potential of the future STCF to precisely measure the $D_s^+ o au^+ u_{ au}$ decay, testing lepton flavor universality and improving key parameters like $|V_{cs}|$ and $f_{D_s^+}$ with high accuracy.
Contribution
It provides a detailed sensitivity analysis for measuring $D_s^+ o au^+ u_{ au}$ decay at STCF, enabling stringent tests of lepton flavor universality and precise determination of fundamental parameters.
Findings
Statistical sensitivity of $2 imes 10^{-4}$ for the branching fraction.
Achieves 0.5% relative precision in the ratio of branching fractions.
Estimates uncertainties of 0.3% for $|V_{cs}|$ and 0.2% for $f_{D_s^+}$.
Abstract
We report a sensitive study of decay via with an integrated luminosity of 1 ab at the center-of-mass energy of GeV at a future Super Tau Charm Facility (STCF). Under the help of the fast simulation software package, the statistical sensitivity for the absolute branching fraction of is determined to be . Combining with our previous prospect of , the ratio of the branching fractions for over can achieve a relative statistical precision of 0.5%, which will provide the most stringent test of the - lepton flavor universality in heavy quark decays. Taking the decay constant from lattice QCD calculations or the CKM matrix element from the CKMfitter…
