Leif Gellersen, Stefan H\"oche, Stefan Prestel

TL;DR
This paper presents a method to separate soft and collinear effects in QCD parton showers at a specific order, and analyzes the impact of triple-collinear corrections using the Dire shower implementation.
Contribution
It introduces a novel technique for disentangling soft and collinear logarithms in QCD evolution at (_s^2) and applies it to analyze triple-collinear corrections.
Findings
Triple-collinear corrections have a measurable impact on parton shower predictions.
The method improves understanding of soft and collinear effects in QCD simulations.
Implementation in the Dire shower demonstrates practical applicability.
Abstract
We introduce a method for the separation of soft and collinear logarithms in QCD parton evolution at and at leading color. Using an implementation of the technique in the Dire parton shower, we analyze the numerical impact of genuine triple-collinear corrections from quark pair emission in hadrons.
