Michal Czakon, Alexander Mitov, Mathieu Pellen, Rene Poncelet

TL;DR
This paper discusses the calculation of next-to-next-to-leading order quantum chromodynamics corrections for W boson production with a charm jet at the LHC, providing precise theoretical predictions compared to experimental data.
Contribution
It presents the first NNLO QCD calculations for W+c-jet production at the LHC, improving theoretical accuracy and comparison with experimental results.
Findings
NNLO corrections significantly improve theoretical predictions.
Results show good agreement with ATLAS data.
Enhanced understanding of W+c-jet production mechanisms.
Abstract
In these proceedings, we highlight some aspects of the recent computation of NNLO QCD corrections for W production in association with a charm jet at the LHC. The results are presented in the form of cross sections and differential distributions and are compared to ATLAS data.
