Cai Cheng, Feng Yang, Yin Huang

TL;DR
This paper explores the production of the strange hidden-charm pentaquark $P_{cs}(4459)$ via photon-proton reactions, using an effective Lagrangian approach to predict cross-sections that can help determine its internal structure.
Contribution
It introduces a theoretical model for $P_{cs}(4459)$ production in photon-induced reactions and compares molecular and compact pentaquark interpretations through cross-section calculations.
Findings
Cross-sections are about 10 pb for $J^P=1/2^-$ and 5 pb for $J^P=3/2^-$ states.
Results differ significantly between molecular and compact pentaquark assumptions.
Predictions are relevant for future experiments like the Electron-Ion Collider.
Abstract
We investigate the possibility of studying the strange hidden-charm pentaquark state by photon-induced reactions on a proton target in an effective Lagrangian approach. The production process is described by the -channel exchange, the -channel exchange, the contract term, and the - channel nucleon pole. Our theoretical approach is based on the assumption that with or can be interpreted as a molecule composed of . Using the coupling constants of the to and channels obtained from molecule picture of the , the total cross-sections of the process is evaluated. Our calculation indicates that the cross-section for and…
