Ground states for Maxwell's equations in nonlocal nonlinear media
Rainer Mandel

TL;DR
This paper studies the existence of ground states for Maxwell's equations in nonlocal nonlinear media, showing that certain nonlocal models admit ground states unlike their local counterparts.
Contribution
It demonstrates the existence of ground states in nonlocal nonlinear Maxwell models, contrasting with the non-existence in local models.
Findings
Nonlocal models admit ground states.
Contrast with local models where ground states do not exist.
Provides mathematical proof of ground state existence.
Abstract
In this paper we investigate the existence of ground states and dual ground states for Maxwell's Equations in in nonlocal nonlinear metamaterials. We prove that several nonlocal models admit ground states in contrast to their local analogues.
