TL;DR
This study provides a detailed spectroscopic analysis of the SB2 binary system HD 60803, determining fundamental stellar parameters and chemical compositions of its components using two independent methods, confirming their similarity and age.
Contribution
It introduces a dual-method approach for analyzing binary star spectra, achieving consistent results for stellar parameters and chemical abundances.
Findings
Both components have similar fundamental parameters and chemical compositions.
Li abundance is significantly higher than solar, consistent with late F-star main-sequence stars.
System age estimated at approximately 5.5 billion years.
Abstract
We performed a detailed spectroscopic study of the SB2 system HD 60803 based on high-resolution spectra obtained with the different spectrographs. The analysis was done with two independent methods: a) the direct modelling of the observed binary spectrum by a sum of synthetic spectra varying a set of free parameters and minimizing a difference between the observed and theoretical spectra; b) spectrum disentangling and an independent modelling of the individual components. Being applied to binary spectra from different spectrographs both methods converge to a consistent solution for the fundamental parameters of the HD 60803 components: =605570 K, =4.080.12, =1.450.18 km s, [M/H]=0.030.06 (primary), and =606970 K, =4.140.09, =1.480.18 km s, [M/H]=0.030.06…
