Godel-type Solutions in Einstein-Maxwell-Scalar Field Theories
Hideki Ishihara, Satsuki Matsuno

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that Godel-type metrics are exact solutions within a broad class of Einstein-Maxwell-scalar field theories, featuring a gauge field aligned with the universe's rotation, expanding understanding of such solutions.
Contribution
It introduces a new class of exact Godel-type solutions in Einstein-Maxwell-scalar theories with a specific gauge field configuration.
Findings
Godel-type metrics are exact solutions in these theories.
The gauge field aligns with the universe's rotation.
These solutions generalize previous models.
Abstract
We show that one-parameter family of Godel-type metrics are exact solutions in a wide class of Einstein-Maxwell-scalar field theories. In these solutions, the gauge field has a 1-form expectation value parallel to the timelike contact form that represents the rotation of the Godel universe.
