TL;DR
This paper investigates the photo-excitation of heavy-flavor pentaquarks using holographic models, analyzing their production via heavy mesons near threshold, and finds the signals are too weak for current detection capabilities.
Contribution
It introduces a holographic framework for modeling the photo-excitation of charm and bottom pentaquarks and calculates their production amplitudes near threshold.
Findings
Pentaquark signals are too weak for current detection.
Holographic methods can model heavy pentaquark photo-production.
Analysis includes s-channel excitation and t-channel exchanges.
Abstract
We consider the photo-excitation of charm and bottom pentaquarks with the holographic assignments and , in the photo-production of heavy vector mesons such as charmonia and bottomonia near threshold. We use a Witten diagram to combine the s-channel photo-excitation of holographic pentaquarks with a massive t-channel graviton or tensor glueball exchange, to extract the scattering amplitude for heavy meson photo-production in the threshold region. The pentaquark signal is too weak to be detected at current electron facilities.
