Sterile Neutrinos as Dark Matter Candidates
Joachim Kopp (CERN & JGU Mainz)

TL;DR
This paper introduces sterile neutrinos as potential dark matter candidates, discussing their production, decay, observational signatures, and constraints in a concise lecture format.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive overview of sterile neutrinos as dark matter, focusing on their production mechanisms, decay processes, and observational constraints.
Findings
Sterile neutrinos can be produced via oscillations.
Radiative decay signatures can be used to detect sterile neutrinos.
Observational constraints limit sterile neutrino parameter space.
Abstract
In these brief lecture notes, we introduce sterile neutrinos as dark matter candidates. We discuss in particular their production via oscillations, their radiative decay, as well as possible observational signatures and constraints.
