On generalized ModMax model of nonlinear electrodynamics
S.I. Kruglov

TL;DR
This paper introduces a new four-parameter generalized ModMax nonlinear electrodynamics model, unifying previous models like Born-Infeld, and demonstrates its singularity-free electric field, corrections to Coulomb's law, and explicit charge solutions.
Contribution
It proposes a novel four-parameter nonlinear electrodynamics model that generalizes ModMax and Born-Infeld theories, with explicit solutions and physical properties.
Findings
Electric field singularity is absent at particle centers.
Corrections to Coulomb's law are derived at large distances.
Total electrostatic and magnetic energies are calculated.
Abstract
A new generalized ModMax model of nonlinear electrodynamics with four parameters is proposed. The ModMax model and Born--Infeld-type electrodynamics are particular cases of the present model It is shown that a singularity of the electric field at the center of point-like charged particles is absent. We found corrections to Coulomb's law at and obtain the total electrostatic and magnetic energies of point-like charges. Free electric and magnetic charges and their densities are obtained.
