Inclusive J/$\psi$ production at midrapidity in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}~=~13$ TeV
ALICE Collaboration

TL;DR
This paper measures the inclusive J/ψ production cross section at midrapidity in proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV, providing new data that supports existing models and shows a logarithmic energy dependence.
Contribution
First measurement of inclusive J/ψ production cross section at 13 TeV in pp collisions at midrapidity, comparing results with models and lower energy data.
Findings
Measured cross section: 8.97 μb at y=0
Results agree with non-relativistic QCD and Color Evaporation models
Data suggests a logarithmic energy dependence
Abstract
We report on the inclusive J/ production cross section measured at the CERN Large Hadron Collider in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy TeV. The J/ mesons are reconstructed in the decay channel and the measurements are performed at midrapidity () in the transverse-momentum interval GeV/, using a minimum-bias data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity and an Electromagnetic Calorimeter triggered data sample with . The -integrated J/ production cross section at midrapidity, computed using the minimum-bias data sample, is . An approximate logarithmic dependence with the collision…
