Micro-local and qualitative analysis of the fractional Zener wave equation
Frederik Broucke, Ljubica Oparnica

TL;DR
This paper investigates the fractional Zener wave equation, analyzing its wave front sets and exploring properties like dispersion, dissipation, and wave propagation characteristics.
Contribution
It provides a detailed micro-local and qualitative analysis of the fractional Zener wave equation, including wave front sets and propagation features.
Findings
Determined classical and Gevrey-type wave front sets of the fundamental solution
Analyzed dispersion, dissipation, and wave propagation speed
Explored wave packet shape and qualitative behavior
Abstract
This paper concerns the micro-local and qualitative analysis of the fractional Zener wave equation. The classical and Gevrey-type wave front sets of the fundamental solution are determined, and questions on dispersion, dissipation, wave propagation speed and wave packet shape are addressed.
