On ageing properties of lifetime distributions
Anakha K K, V M Chacko

TL;DR
This paper investigates the aging properties of various lifetime distributions, focusing on failure rate behaviors, their shape characteristics, and the impact of DUS transformation on these distributions.
Contribution
It introduces analysis of failure rate distributions, explores their shape properties, and discusses the role of DUS transformation in lifetime distribution modeling.
Findings
Failure rates of generalized Lindley distributions are characterized.
Shape properties of failure rate functions are analyzed.
DUS transformation significantly affects distribution aging properties.
Abstract
A reasonable segment of reliability theory is perpetrated to the study of failure rates, their properties, connections and applications. The present study focused on failure rate distributions and their shape properties. Failure rates of various generalizations of Lindley distribution are discussed and the distinguishable roles of DUS transformation is also discussed
