Global existence of weak solutions to the drift-flux system for general pressure laws
Hai-Liang Li, Ling-Yun Shou

TL;DR
This paper proves the global existence of weak solutions with finite energy for a multi-dimensional drift-flux model in two-phase flow, accommodating general pressure laws without requiring monotonicity.
Contribution
It establishes the existence of weak solutions for the drift-flux system with general pressure laws, removing the monotonicity restriction.
Findings
Global weak solutions exist for the drift-flux system with general pressure laws.
Solutions have finite energy and are valid in multiple dimensions.
The results extend previous models by relaxing pressure law assumptions.
Abstract
The initial value problem to the multi-dimensional drift-flux model for two-phase flow is investigated in this paper, and the global existence of weak solutions with finite energy is established for general pressure-density functions without the monotonicity assumption.
