Marco Secondini, Stella Civelli, Enrico Forestieri

TL;DR
This paper analyzes various nonlinearity mitigation strategies in signal processing, combining them to improve capacity bounds and simplify backpropagation, advancing the understanding of nonlinear effects in communication systems.
Contribution
It introduces a comprehensive analysis of nonlinearity mitigation techniques, combining strategies to enhance capacity bounds and simplify backpropagation processes.
Findings
Effective combination of strategies improves capacity lower bounds.
Analysis simplifies backpropagation in nonlinear systems.
Strategies are effective at transmitter and receiver sides.
Abstract
Several strategies for nonlinearity mitigation based on signal processing at the transmitter and/or receiver side are analyzed and their effectiveness is discussed. Improved capacity lower bounds based on their combination are presented.
