Wrapped NS5-Branes, Consistent Truncations and In\"on\"u-Wigner Contractions
K. C. Matthew Cheung, Rahim Leung

TL;DR
This paper constructs specific consistent truncations of type IIA supergravity on wrapped brane geometries, deriving lower-dimensional gauged supergravity theories via In"on"u-Wigner contractions, revealing a broader web of related theories from higher dimensions.
Contribution
It introduces a novel method of obtaining lower-dimensional supergravity truncations directly through In"on"u-Wigner contractions, bypassing the need for explicit 10D reductions.
Findings
Derived 5D and 4D gauged supergravity models from wrapped NS5-branes.
Showed these models can be obtained via group contractions from higher-dimensional theories.
Suggested a broader class of related supergravity theories connected by contractions.
Abstract
We construct consistent Kaluza-Klein truncations of type IIA supergravity on (i) and (ii) , where , , or , and , , or , with a discrete group of symmetries, corresponding to NS5-branes wrapped on and . The resulting theories are a , gauged supergravity coupled to three vector multiplets with scalar manifold and gauge group which depends on the curvature of , and a , gauged supergravity coupled to one vector multiplet and two hypermultiplets with scalar manifold and gauge group…
