TL;DR
This paper shows that $SO(N_c)$ gauge theories with vector matter fields confine and break chiral symmetry through monopole condensation, using anomaly-mediated supersymmetry breaking as a perturbation.
Contribution
It provides a novel demonstration of confinement and chiral symmetry breaking in $SO(N_c)$ gauge theories via monopole condensation, extending understanding of non-supersymmetric dynamics.
Findings
$SO(N_c)$ theories confine due to monopole condensation.
Chiral symmetry $SU(N_F)$ breaks to $SO(N_F)$.
Results obtained by perturbing ${ m f N}=1$ supersymmetric theories.
Abstract
We demonstrate that gauge theories with matter fields in the vector representation confine due to monopole condensation and break the chiral symmetry to via the quark bilinear. Our results are obtained by perturbing the supersymmetric theory with anomaly-mediated supersymmetry breaking.
