TL;DR
This paper investigates lepton mass effects in exclusive semileptonic $B_c$-meson decays using the relativistic independent quark model, predicting decay observables and exploring potential lepton flavor universality violation.
Contribution
It introduces a detailed analysis of lepton mass effects in $B_c$-meson decays within the RIQ model, including predictions of decay rates, asymmetries, and the $R$ ratio, highlighting possible new physics.
Findings
Predicted decay rates and branching fractions align with other models.
Identified deviations in the $R$ ratio suggesting lepton flavor universality violation.
Results can be tested in future collider experiments.
Abstract
In this work, we discuss exclusive semileptonic -meson decays: and in the framework of the relativistic independent quark(RIQ) model based on an average flavor independent confining potential in equally mixed scalar-vector harmonic form. We calculate the invariant form factors representing decay amplitudes from the overlapping integrals of meson wave functions derivable in the RIQ model. To evaluate the lepton mass effects in the semileptonic decays, we first study the -dependence of the form factors in the accessible kinematic range of involved in the decay process in its and mode separately. Similar studies on helicity amplitudes, spectra for different helicity contributions, and total -spectra for each decay process are carried out separately in their and modes. We predict the…
