TL;DR
This paper introduces a minimally invasive method to integrate quantum random number generators into NG-PON2 transceivers, achieving 0.5 Gb/s random number generation validated by statistical tests.
Contribution
It presents a novel optical overlay technique for QRNG integration in NG-PON2 transceivers, enabling high-speed random number generation with minimal disruption.
Findings
Random numbers generated at 0.5 Gb/s
Successful validation of randomness through statistical tests
Demonstration of minimally invasive QRNG integration
Abstract
We propose a minimally invasive optical overlay for time-interleaved QRNG operation in NG-PON2 transceivers. We experimentally demonstrate that random numbers can be generated at a 0.5 Gb/s rate and validate the randomness through statistical tests.
