Csaba Cs\'aki, Hitoshi Murayama, and Ofri Telem

TL;DR
This paper investigates the dynamics of specific chiral gauge theories with symmetric tensor fermions, revealing new symmetry breaking patterns and fixed points for different N values, refining previous conjectures.
Contribution
It provides more precise results on the symmetry breaking and IR behavior of these theories, especially for N ≥ 17, challenging earlier assumptions.
Findings
Global symmetry breaks to SO(N) for N ≥ 17
Theories flow to IR fixed points for N < 17
Refines previous conjectures on chiral gauge dynamics
Abstract
We study dynanics of gauge theories with fermions in rank-2 symmetric tensor and anti-fundamental representations, by perturbing supersymmetric theories with anomaly-mediated supersymmetry breaking. We find the global symmetry is dynamically broken to for , a different result from conjectures in the literature. For , theories flow to infrared fixed points.
