Jean Nahed, Joseph Dgheim

TL;DR
This paper introduces a novel estimation radius regression technique within the PLIC-VOF method, enabling precise tracking of droplet radius changes during evaporation, independent of shape and temperature variations.
Contribution
The paper presents a new method for accurately estimating droplet radius regression in PLIC-VOF simulations, improving the analysis of droplet evaporation.
Findings
Clear observation of droplet radius regression in each mesh cell
Regression unaffected by droplet shape changes
Regression unaffected by temperature variations
Abstract
Naviers Stokes and energy equations of hydrocarbon liquid droplet in evaporation in natural convection are solved numerically using PLIC VOF method. Our new technique allows us to observe clearly the droplet radius regression in each cell of the mesh. This regression is not affected by the changing of the droplet shape and temperature.
