Andrea Boido, Juan Manuel P\'erez Ipi\~na, James Sparks

TL;DR
This paper constructs new supersymmetric AdS3 solutions in string and M-theory, representing wrapped branes on spindle and Riemann surfaces, and confirms their duality with specific 2D superconformal field theories through matching central charges.
Contribution
It introduces novel families of supersymmetric AdS3 solutions involving multi-charge spindle compactifications, expanding the landscape of holographic duals for 2D SCFTs.
Findings
Solutions describe near-horizon limits of wrapped D3- and M5-branes.
Central charges match between gravity solutions and field theory.
Provides geometric interpretation of dual SCFTs.
Abstract
We construct families of supersymmetric AdS and AdS solutions to type IIB string theory and M-theory, respectively. Here is an fibration over , while is an fibration over , where is a Riemann surface of genus and is a two-dimensional orbifold known as a spindle. We interpret the solutions as near-horizon limits of D3-branes wrapped on and M5-branes wrapped on , respectively. These are holographically dual to , SCFTs, and we show that the central charge and superconformal R-symmetry of the gravity solutions agree with dual field theory calculations.
