TL;DR
This paper constructs a family of type IIB S-fold solutions with nontrivial monodromy, explores their place in the conformal manifold, and studies RG flows connecting higher and lower-dimensional theories, revealing new dualities and supersymmetry structures.
Contribution
It introduces a continuous family of $AdS_4$ S-fold solutions with $SL(2,Z)$ monodromy and maps RG flows between $AdS_5$ and $AdS_4$ S-folds, expanding understanding of conformal manifolds and dualities.
Findings
Constructed a one-parameter family of $AdS_4$ S-fold solutions.
Identified RG flows from $AdS_5$ to $AdS_4$ S-folds.
Connected Leigh-Strassler SCFT to $ ext{S-fold}$ solutions.
Abstract
We construct a continuous one parameter family of S-fold solutions of type IIB string theory which have nontrivial monodromy in the direction. The solutions span a subset of a conformal manifold that contains the known S-fold SCFT in , and generically preserve supersymmetry. We also construct RG flows across dimensions, from , dual to , SYM compactified with a twisted spatial circle, to various S-fold solutions, dual to SCFTs. We construct additional flows between the dual of the Leigh-Strassler SCFT and an S-fold as well as RG flows between various S-folds.
