TL;DR
This study conducted the first search for a rare decay of the $D_s^+$ meson involving the $a_0(980)^0$ meson and electron neutrino, setting an upper limit on its branching fraction due to no significant detection.
Contribution
It provides the first experimental search and upper limit for the decay $D_s^+ o a_0(980)^0 e^+ u_e$, exploring potential $a_0(980)$-$f_0(980)$ mixing effects.
Findings
No significant signal observed for the decay.
An upper limit of $1.2 imes 10^{-4}$ on the branching fraction.
First experimental constraint on this decay mode.
Abstract
Using 6.32 fb of electron-positron collision data recorded by the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies between 4.178 and 4.226~GeV, we present the first search for the decay , which could proceed via - mixing. No significant signal is observed. An upper limit of at the confidence level is set on the product of the branching fractions of and decays.
